Greetings everyone,
Today we officially announce the Bogotrax meeting  ¨RESISTENCIA¨ in Berlin, Germany from the 9th to the 13th of September 2009. This meeting consist of 5 days in which those who participated, collaborated, helped, assisted, and listened to the festival ever since it's first edition 2004 (or not) interact and share with the public. The Berlin soli-festival will include a rich variety of international artists and a good number of Colombians, functioning as a showcase about the Bogotrax festival in Bogota, and of what is going on in Colombia, through daily activities in different places with an emphasis on public space and open air actions.  The Berlin meeting will also gather funds to finance the Bogotrax festival in Bogota from the 11th to the 21th of February 2010.
So, in this way, we would like to invite all who want to participate, from any country, nationality, color, language, to make contact at this mail address: bogotrax@hotmail.com and/or contact@x-tractor.org .

Just like every February when a group of foreigners arrive to Bogota in order to make actions during Bogotrax, we plan for a group of Colombians to meet in Berlin, Germany to develop joint activities, being ambassadors of their professions, hobbies and knowledge at a common time and space.

Due to massive participation, there may be a limited quota for participants. People who are able to be present at the Berlin soli-festival will have priority according to the sign-up order. The dead line to "raise your hand" is the 9th of august.

We will discuss different aspects of social, political and cultural life in Colombia in order to create awareness in foreign countries about these situations; get the attention of international artists who want to participate in Bogotrax so they know what is happening in Colombia before they arrive to the festival; and we want to create awareness amongst people about Colombian issues through presentations, conferences, talks, installations, performances, music through each day dedicated to a specific theme. The artists who play on a certain day will be participating in the specific theme of that day. Some possible themes to develop include:
- Paramilitary
- Guerrilla
- Government
- Narco-trafficking
- Forced displacement
- Resistance
- Solutions

Collective and individual activism is very important in this meeting, whether or not it is in Berlin, in order to motivate and execute our plans.

Xstreaming: teams will be transmitting the daily events of the Berlin soli-festival in Bogota and other cities. Once again, you don’t have to be in Berlin to enjoy it or participate.
